Hello, my name is John DeAngelo and I'm the Coordinator for The Family Tree Maker Special Interest Group.  This group meets the third Tuesday of each month from 1:00p.m. to 2:50p.m. in the Liberty & Old Glory Rooms at the Mulberry Grove Regional Recreation Center, 8445 SE 165th Mulberry Lane.  If you have a question about this SIG, send me an email with your question and I will respond as quickly as I can.  If you have an "How to Use" the software question, click HERE...

The focus of the group is to help members take advantage of the many features and options of the software.  Your questions help drive the meetings.  Since the older versions of the software no longer synchronize with ancestry.com, we only concentrate on the latest FTM2017 or 2019 versions, for both macOS and Windows.  We will try to help with technical issues, such as upgrading the software and conversion from Windows to Mac (or vice versa).  Tables are setup for those who brings their laptops.

You must be a member of The Villages Genealogical Society to participate in our meetings.  Members should be prepared to share their experiences using technology and to provide the group with any tips that members may find useful for their own research.
