Hello, my name is Carol LaSalle and I am the the coordinator of the African American Genealogy Special Interest Group. Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month from 2:30 to 4:20 p.m. at the Hibiscus Recreation Center in the Jasmine room. There are no meetings in June, July, August and December.
The focus of the group is to assist members with the research of ancestors from the present day to the pre-Civil War era. Each meeting will consist of a presentation, Q&A, and a breakout session for ancestor research.
