The Florida Genealogical Society, located in Tampa, is the oldest genealogical society in Florida, founded in 1958.

To inspire and promote awareness and appreciation of genealogy, family history and Florida heritage. The VGS is a member.

The Indian River Genealogical Society, Inc. had its beginnings when the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century met and discussed forming a genealogy society to help their members and increase membership.

Formed in 1978 and located in Lake County, Florida, Kinseekers is a 501©3 non-profit educational entity. They present education programs and provide opportunities to discuss genealogical findings, challenges and best practices.

The Lee County Genealogical Society began on November 25, 1975, when a small group of Lee County residents interested in genealogy met at the home of Ernest England. They discussed their family history research, and because of their enthusiasm about this topic, a second meeting was planned.

Dedicated to creating and promoting an interest in genealogy, focusing on research in Marion County, Florida and in supporting members in their research.
