Hello, my name is Dan Smith, and along with Kris Petersen-Gauthier, we are the coordinators of the Scandinavian Special Interest Group. We meet the third Friday of the month from 11:00am - 12:30pm at the SeaBreeze Recreation Center – check the Coming Events calendar for updates on our scheduled meetings. We do not meet in June, July, August, September and December. If you have any questions about this SIG, send an email to me and I will respond as quickly as possible.
During the meeting, a round-table discussion takes place and members discuss research problems they might have had and how they may have solved them. Each member is encouraged to bring in any new information they have discovered.
Any members interested in Scandinavian (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark & Iceland) genealogy are welcome to join us. You must be a member of The Villages Genealogical Society to participate in our meetings. If you are not a VGS member but would like to be, please visit our Membership Information section.
